Alison is accountable for setting the strategy and vision for how flood and coastal risk is managed including strategic investment decisions. She works closely with Directors and Ministers in UK Government and has extensive experience in both policy and operational roles including during major flood incidents. She is a trusted media spokesperson for the Environment Agency with extensive experience on national and international news channels.
Alison is a Chartered Civil Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and was voted as one of the top 50 women engineers in UK in 2016.
